THE FRANKFORT WARRIORS
The Frankfort Warriors started in 2003 when Tom Anstett, assistant boys basketball coach at Lincoln-Way East and former college player, formed a fourth grade travel team in cooperation with the Frankfort Park District. He decided
to expand this to grades 4-8 in 2005. Currently, the FIBA (Frankfort Instructional BoysBasketball Association) is a five-level program for boys, grades 4 - 8.
The emphases of our program are skill development and improvement. Parents and others have volunteered their time and energy to learn aspects of coaching basketball
and have contributed immensely to the program's growth.
The Warriors not only provide quality coaching and competition; but also help develop a core foundation of
ethics (teamwork, commitment, responsibility, respect and sportsmanship) into our players that they can use now and
take with them into adulthood.
The Foundation of Our Program is Based Upon 3 Main Principles.
1. We will teach and stress fundamental and advanced
skill sets and be dedicated to the development of all of our players' basketball skills.
2. We will give all our players the opportunity to play at a
high level of competition in a structured, well coached, team environment.
3. We will stress sportsmanship. We want our kids to not only be great basketball players; but also to be great young men.
